AUDITION TECHNIQUES:THE ART OF THE COLD READ
Instructor: Marco Aguilar
With over 30 years of theatre experience, Marco has cast many theatrical productions in the US and abroad, as director, choreographer and producer.
You've made it through the singing audition and the dance audition. Now comes the dreaded "cold read". Learn techniques on how to make your cold reads more effective. Gain insight into what directors are looking for in a cold read. Participate in some fun audition exercises. All reading material will be provided. Just come prepared to play & learn. Ages 12 and up.
The first 10 to sign up will have priority for active participation in workshop exercises. Additional participants are welcome to observe. All attendees are expected to pay the $10 workshop fee.

BEGINNING TAP FOR MUSICAL THEATRE
Instructor: Colleen Metzger
Colleen has been doing tap since she was a child. She is currently active with AV dance studio 81 and has performed in many Cedar Street and PRT shows as an ensemble member doing all forms of dance
A beginner-friendly workshop covering basic tap techniques for musical theatre. Tap shoes are optional. No prior experience needed.
The first 10 to sign up will have priority for active participation in workshop activities. Additional participants are welcome to observe. All attendees are expected to pay the $10 workshop fee.

AUDITION SONG CHOICE AND SINGING TECHNIQUE
Instructor: Natasha Coleman
Natasha has been a classically trained professional singer/actor for 20+ years. She has played numerous iconic roles such as Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro, The Witch in Into the Woods, and most recently, Queen Gynecia in PRT’s Head over Heels.
Learn how to choose the right song for your auditions, and some basic singing techniques to showcase yourself for the part you want! Priority participants should prepare 2 song tracks of songs that you would like to sing for auditions/repertoire. If you have sheet music, please bring that as well for the instructor's reference. A Bluetooth speaker will be provided to play your songs. Both observers and participants are encouraged to take notes, and if there is time, questions will be answered after all the participants have performed. Don't miss this final vocal workshop before Newsies auditions at Cedar Street Theatre.
