Casting call

Legally Blonde the Musical

Legally Blonde is returning! We are bringing back this show to put it on stage in the Summer of our 2022 Season.

Please note we are casting only age 16+. This show has more mature humor.

If you have a potential conflict for the callback date please let us know during your audition.

In the meantime, you will find other information regarding the show down below.

​Here are a couple guidelines to follow for the audition:

- Please prepare 32 bars of a contemporary musical theater song that fits the character you are hoping for.
- Please DO NOT sing a song from the show you are auditioning for (i.e. nothing from Legally Blonde the Musical)
- Please bring your own Karaoke track to sing from
- Have the track ready on your device, Phone, MP3 Player, CD are all acceptable and we will have the necessary cords ready for you.
- Please come ready to dance as there will be a dance portion to the audition, dress accordingly.

You may also request to submit a video submission. We will approve these on a case by case basis depending on the reason. Keep in mind if you do submit a video and are considered for a role you will have to come to Call Backs in person.

What follows are the descriptions of the Primary Characters in the show and ALL Roles are available:

Elle Woods
The quintessential Valley Girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality.
Gender: Female
Age: 18 to 25
Vocal range top: G5
Vocal range bottom: Gb2

Emmett Forrest
A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. He is charming, quirky, loveable, and friendly.
Gender: Male
Age: 20 to 25
Vocal range top: A4
Vocal range bottom: B2

Paulette
A brash, caring, optimistic hair stylist who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for herself.
Gender: Female
Age: 35 to 45
Vocal range top: A5
Vocal range bottom: A3

Professor Callahan
A pompous, sleezy and manipulative law professor at Harvard who is highly successful, but completely immoral.
Gender: Male
Age: 45 to 55

Warner Huntington III
A good-looking but shallow and pompous guy who breaks Elle's heart and heads off to Harvard Law.

Vivienne Kensington
A smart, savvy, and uptight law student and Warner's fiancee who initially dismisses Elle, but grows to be her friend.

Brooke Wyndam
An exercise video mogul who is also a former sorority girl. She is energetic and charismatic, yet currently on trial for murder.
